Undecided on having an engagement shoot? Here's my top reasons why it's a good idea... It's significant! Your engagement is such a special time. You have found someone you want to spend the rest of your life with. To make your own life together. It's a magical but brief time compared to the many years you'll have as a married couple and it's SO worth recording! A pre-wedding shoot is all about you, slow-paced and allows you both to soak in the time together.
Wedding planning can be stressful! The engagement session is a time for couples to take a step back from the wedding planning process to be together, be playful, reconnect and just be yourselves. I love to be outdoors in nature, especially on the coast or on the moors, so all of my pre-wedding shoots take place on location.
You'll get to know your photographer Your photographer is most likely the supplier you'll spend the most amount of time with. More than the florist, more than a wedding planner, so it's such a good idea to make sure you click!
Get comfortable in-front of the camera
It can be daunting getting in front of the camera and the prospect of having a photographer follow you on your wedding day may not exactly fill you with joy! An engagement shoot is the perfect opportunity to deal with these anxieties before your big day. You'll begin to stop focusing on the camera and start to focus more on each other, leaving one less thing to worry about for the day itself!
You'll have lots of lovely photos!
Whether you want something to look back on in years to come, photographs for save-the-date cards or thank you cards or for a guest book on the day itself. There are so many uses for the lovely photos you'll receive.
This February, I'm offering a FREE pre-wedding shoot with every full day wedding package booked.* Click here to see some of my wedding photography and contact me today to check my availability. I'd love to hear from you!
